Scroll Chillers Scroll chillers are a type of chiller, which is a system that cools water for the purpose of cooling, humidifying or dehumidifying the air. Most often, they are used in air conditioners. A scroll chiller can be air-cooled or water-cooled, and is often self-contained.The two types of air cooled chillers are scroll compressor air cooled chillers and screw compressor air cooled chillers. Scroll compressors are used for the smaller air cooled chillers, and screw compressors are used for larger air cooled chillers and have a variable speed drive option for increased efficiency.
