Description
The plants are used for many applications, including production of rinse water, process water, boiler water, and more. The demoralisation plants are two-column systems, where the water first passes through a cation exchange column and then next passes through an anion exchange column.DM (demoralised) water plants are systems used to carry out industrial water treatment. To be more precise, the DM plant remove dissolved solids or minerals from process streams and feed water. These plants remove minerals using any one of the following procedures: Decolonisation.A stream is initially treated with a strong acid cation (SAC) resin, which collects dissolved cations and releases hydrogen (H+) ions in exchange in two-bed demoralisation. The mineral acid solution is subsequently sent to the resin bed for strong base anion (SBA).The biggest difference between the two is that reverse osmosis uses a semipermeable membrane to filter water, while detonation uses ion exchange resins to replace minerals and contaminants with hydrogen and hydroxide ions.A typical Interdenominational Plant (DM Plant) consists of two vessels. The feed water or raw water is passed through first vessel i.e. containing strong base cation resin in the form of Hydrogen (H+), whereupon all the positively charged ions (sodium, calcium, iron and copper etc.)
