The Pressure Sand Filter consists of a multiple layer of sand with a variety in size and specific gravity. These Filters are designed to remove turbidity and suspended particles present in the feed water with minimum pressure drop. These Filters are custom designed to suit the process requirement.Sand filtration is used for the removal of suspended matter, as well as floating and sinkable particles. The wastewater flows vertically through a fine bed of sand and/or gravel. Particles are removed by way of absorption or physical encapsulation.Pressure Filtration is the process of separating a suspended solid such as a precipitate from the liquid in which it is already suspended by straining it – under pressure – through a porous medium that can be penetrated easily by liquid.
