Introduction A COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) analyser is a specialized instrument used to measure the amount of oxygen required to chemically oxidize organic and inorganic matter in water. Principle of Operation The COD analyser works by oxidizing organic compounds in a water sample using a strong oxidizing agent—typically potassium dichromate—in an acidic medium.
