Groundwater Treatment System

Groundwater treatment typically includes aeration for the addition of oxygen and the stripping of volatile compounds, sand filtration for the removal of particles and support for biological processes, and UV disinfection as a hygienic barrier. Groundwater is water that exists underground in saturated zones beneath the land surface. The upper surface of the saturated zone is called the water table. Water treatment is a process involving different types of operations (physical, chemical, physicochemical and biological), the aim of which is to eliminate and/or reduce contamination or non-desirable characteristics of water.
