Description
A heated tool welding machine consists of the heated tool assembly with two exposed surfaces, two fixtures for holding parts to be welded, tooling for bringing parts in contact with the heated tool and bringing molten joint surfaces together to form the weld, and displacement stops on the platen and holding fixtures. An arc welding machine is a device used for fusing metals. The machine emits an electrical arc from an electrode which melts metal or supplies filler into a joint between two pieces of metal. To produce the temperatures up to 3,600ºC needed to fuse metals, arc welding machines consume significant quantities of energy.Welding is a fabrication process whereby two or more parts are fused together by means of heat, pressure or both forming a join as the parts cool. Welding is usually used on metals and thermoplastics but can also be used on wood. The completed welded joint may be referred to as a weldment. The four main types of welding are: Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), and Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW).Welding is the fabrication process that joins materials, usually metals, by causing fusion. Fusion welding is a process that uses heat to join or fuse two or more materials by heating them to melting point. Highly skilled, coded welders are essential as it is a skilled task where precautions are required throughout.
