Portable Dust Collector

The Portable Dust Collector from S.K.Engineering & Shot Blast consists of a mild steel frame that resists wear. A built in fan moves 1000 m³ of air each hour and pulls dust away while operators buff or blend surfaces. The whole assembly bolts to a trailer - a vehicle can tow it from one site to another without fixed installation. A 35 HP electric motor drives the fan plus filter unit - no external plant air or permanent ductwork is required. Once the trailer reaches the work area, the operator lowers the support legs, connects the power cable and starts the motor. The unit draws dusty air through flexible hoses, captures particles in its filters but also returns clean air to the workspace. Metalworking shops use the collector near bench grinders, polishers and blending stations to keep respirable dust out of the operator's breathing zone. The steel structure, rigid filter housing as well as sealed bearings tolerate continuous duty and outdoor movement, giving the collector a long service life under harsh conditions.
