Zero Liquid Discharge Plant

Zero liquid discharge (ZLD) refers to a treatment process in which the plant discharges no liquid effluent into surface waters, in effect completely eliminating the environmental pollution associated with treatment.Zero-liquid discharge (ZLD) is a water treatment process in which all wastewater is purified and recycled; therefore, leaving zero discharge at the end of the treatment cycle.ZLD helps an industry in eliminating the discharge of wastewater into nearby water bodies or on land, by enabling efficient recycling of wastewater streams. The institute has formulated an “Action Plan cum Roadmap towards ZLD” for some of it's studies for industrial sectors such as Textile and Ferrous & Non-Ferrous.Zero liquid discharge is an advanced water treatment process which purifies and recycles the wastewater at the end of the industrial process with zero liquid waste at the end.
