GI Water Tank

Galvanized tanks are an economical way of storing liquids and are primarily used for the storage of oil and gas, fire water, industrial liquids, potable water and wastewater applications.Various materials are used for making a water tank: plastics (polyethylene, polypropylene), fiberglass, concrete, stone, steel (welded or bolted, carbon, or stainless). Earthen pots, such as matki used in South Asia, can also be used for water storage.Reinforced concrete water tanks are constructed for storing water. The design of reinforced concrete water tank is based on IS 3370: 2009 (Parts I – IV). The design depends on the location of tanks, i.e. overhead, on ground or underground water tanks.
